Pairings is a year-long collaboration of work in which fiber artists pair up (two or more artists per pair) to visit each others studios, talk about their art, and become familiar with each others artwork.
Collaborative work from nearly 80 fiber artists across Missouri, Illinois and Canada were the focus on the exhibition. It premiered in St. Louis and traveled to mid-Missouri.
Pairs were challenged to create one collaborative piece, and each member of the pair was asked to create an individual piece to reflect the influence of the collaboration. More than 100 works of art were on display.
